Sustainable advancements have been implemented in our manufacturing facilities producing waterborne paints. Many of these improvements help reduce waste from these operations in addition to robust recycling programs to collect wood, plastic, metal, cardboard, and paper.

In 2021, Behr recycled more than 1,500 tons of plastic. This saves about 8.5 million kWh of energy or enough energy to power about 850 houses for a year. It also saves 45,000 cubic yards of landfill space or about 13 Olympic swimming pools* .
