For Best Results:
Start your interior stain project by cleaning the surface and lightly sanding the wood.
Apply BEHR® Oil-Based Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner to prevent streaks and blotches.

Using a sanding block and 220 grit sandpaper, give the wood a gentle sand, then wipe away the remaining dust with a lint-free cloth.
Apply the BEHR® Oil-Based Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner and let it penetrate the wood for 20 minutes.
Apply the BEHR® Advanced Formula Oil-Based Wood Stain.
Allow the stain to penetrate for 3-5 minutes, then wipe with a lint-free cloth. Repeat steps to achieve a deeper color. Let the stain dry for at least 12 hours.
Apply two thin coats of BEHR® Fast Drying Oil-Based Polyurethane to protect your table for years to come. Lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper between coats.
