Now that we have gone through ways to choose color, we can continue with the next step which is best ways to try color. After you have your top color choices you want to then look at the color chips which you can pick up at your local Home Depot. Color chips are a great starting point so it gives you a better visual on how the color looks and you can pick up as many as you need. Feel free to tape them up on your walls that you will be painting so you can do process of elimination with the colors you are thinking about.
After you have the colors even more narrowed down you can then pick up 8oz paint samples and a small paint brush from the Home Depot. The 8oz paint samples are very helpful because you can paint a patch directly on your wall and you can see which color you like best at different times of the day. You can paint the colors on different walls to get an even better visual.

If you do not want to paint directly on the walls another recommendation is painting a poster board and moving it around the areas, you want to paint to see how the color or colors look in different angles. This is another helpful resource so you can commit to a color before purchasing a gallon.
