This year we’re bringing even more interior design insights to Colorfully Behr, with a new series aptly named Designer Features. Partnering with seasoned designers and interior experts, we’ll be bringing you their décor tips, color picks and insider knowledge. For our first feature, we partnered with Mindy Gayer Design Co., a full-service interior design studio and curated showroom in Orange County, California. Known for creating bespoke homes designed for intentional and everyday living, their team was excited to design three unique spaces inspired by our 2022 Color Trends Palette.
Three colors stood out to the MGD team from our 2022 Trend Palette: Breezeway MQ3-21, Nightingale Gray N200-3, and Cracked Pepper PPU18-01. See below for how these hues were used in beautiful designs for a bathroom, kitchen and bedroom and what the MGD team has to say:
Bathroom Design:
“We love to design the bathroom spaces in our projects to feel like a peaceful retreat, so Breezeway was a natural fit for a bathroom design for us!”
Kitchen Design:
“With the rise of the neutral kitchen, we envisioned Nightingale Gray as the perfect color for kitchen cabinetry. We love how this taupe hue looks against the perfect engineered hardwood flooring and a unique matte white tile backsplash.”
Bedroom Design:
“We love a moody bedroom design, especially one with wall-to-wall built-in shelving. We’d use Cracked Pepper to paint a built-in around a fireplace or TV wall in a bedroom, and top it off with this pretty antiqued copper hardware.”

Colorfully yours,
