  • Step 1

Once the surface is cleaned, prepped and has no sealer or coating present, you can apply the stain. Apply the stain in small sections, approximately 4' x 4'. Work quickly and feather edges. Apply with a high quality pump sprayer at a fine spray setting, using a circular motion.

NOTE: The coating will likely lighten as it dries.

TIP: If you are using more than 1 can, intermix all to ensure color uniformity. Make sure to stir before applying.

  • Step 2

To achieve an even appearance, back roll immediately after spraying with a 3/8" nap roller or pad applicator. Allow the first coat to dry before deciding if a second coat is necessary. Additional coats will help create a variegated look and may slightly darken the finish. Use the appropriate spread rate per gallon. Use when the air and surface temperatures are 50-90 degrees F.

TIP: Spread rate for base coat: 175 - 250 sq. ft. Spread rate for accent coat: 350 - 500 sq. ft. Roller Application: 250 – 500 sq. ft. An additional coat will provide a darker, more uniform color.

  • Step 3

For additional protection, apply a sealer topcoat. Allow stain to dry at least 4 hours before applying a topcoat.

TIP: Horizontal surfaces may be subject to premature wear. Periodic touch-ups may be necessary.

  • Step 4

Coating will dry to touch in hour. Allow first coat to dry for 4 hours before deciding if a second coat is necessary.

Make sure that the surface is fully cured before use.
